Meher Baba's Service to Lepers and Others 

Meher Baba served under privileged communities regularly. He would wash the feet of lepers and give them clothing and blankets.  Often traveling incognito for his work, Meher Baba would also locate families that had fallen on hard times.  It was common for him to find the location and intimate details of families who had fallen into sudden material tragedy and privately help them.  His close disciples such as Eruch Jessawala would later tell these stories and the pangs that Meher Baba would take to find and serve these people.
