Meher Baba in Oklahoma

 

Meher Baba was in a serious accident near Prague, Oklahoma on May 24, 1952 car accident. Years earlier, he had predicted this, giving a close companion, Elizabeth Patterson, a flower to mark the exact date. Meher Baba had been telling his close disciples, "America needs my blood."  This was cryptic to them until the event happened. 

 

•  Exactly 20 years prior to the day of the accident, Meher Baba had handed Elizabeth Patterson a flower and told her to remember the date (May 24th).

•  Elizabeth, who had been driving the car during the accident, later found the preserved flower inside a family Bible, realizing it was a sign of his deep compassion and foresight regarding the tragic event. She had been feeling guilty as everyone in the car had been badly injured.
